Can you move iTunes credit or App Store balance to Apple Pay?
No - Apple's terms prohibit moving Apple Account balance to Apple Pay, a bank account, or any external payment instrument. Here is what $100 of credit can actually do, and what to avoid.
TL;DR
Apple Account balance and Apple Pay are separate instruments under the Apple Media Services Terms. Balance cannot move to Apple Pay, a debit card, a bank account, or any non-Apple payment system. It can buy subscriptions, paid apps, in-app purchases, Apple One bundles, AppleCare+, and (in supported regions) Apple hardware via the Apple Store app.
Why Apple Account balance cannot become cash
Apple's Media Services Terms classify Apple Account balance as non-refundable, non-transferable store credit. It is legally distinct from Apple Pay funds, which sit on top of a real bank or card network. Apple does not (and contractually cannot) bridge the two.
The practical effect: there is no first-party "transfer balance to Apple Pay" button, no Apple Support workflow that converts balance to bank credit, and no third-party app that legitimately does it on iOS.
Why third-party "iTunes-to-cash" sites are unsafe
A category of websites offer to "buy" your Apple Gift Card code (or unused balance) for cash, usually at a 20-30% discount. The problems:
- Many are outright scams - they take the code, drain the balance, and never pay. - Even the legitimate ones take a punitive fee. - Apple's Terms prohibit reselling redeemed balance. If detected, your account can be flagged. - PayPal Digital Gifts ended its iTunes resale program years ago for the same reason.
If the goal is "get cash for my credit," there is no honest path.
What $100 of locked-in credit can actually do
Ranked by best dollar-for-dollar value:
1. Apple One Individual ($19.95/mo) or Family ($25.95/mo): $100 covers 4-5 months of bundled iCloud+, Music, TV+, Arcade, and (Premier) News+/Fitness+. Apple charges the subscription against your balance automatically.
2. iCloud+ 2TB standalone ($9.99/mo): $100 = about 10 months of premium storage.
3. Apple hardware via the Apple Store iPhone app (supported regions only - see the dedicated guide): AirPods, accessories, AppleCare+ on a new device.
4. Apple Books and Music: substantial libraries for a $100 budget.
5. In-app purchases in third-party games (Roblox, Clash of Clans, etc.) all debit your balance first.
If you only care about emptying the balance to $0
A different goal - common before changing Apple ID country, which requires a zero balance. The path is to spend the bulk of the balance via subscriptions or paid apps, then clear residual cents with a tool.

What about Family Sharing?
Family Sharing does not let you move balance to a family member's Apple Pay. It does let the family organizer's balance be consumed first when any family member makes a purchase. So if you are the organizer, your balance effectively pays for your kid's app purchases or your spouse's subscriptions until it hits zero. This is a useful way to "share" the balance, but it does not produce cash.

Is Apple Pay different from Apple Account balance?
Yes. Apple Pay is a payment method that uses your bank cards. Apple Account balance is store credit issued by Apple. They cannot be combined or converted between each other.
Will Zero Balance turn my balance into cash?
No - that is not possible by any tool. Zero Balance only spends the balance down to (or close to) $0 by suggesting small in-app purchases. It does not convert credit to cash.
